Kilikya is located 6 km from the hotel. If you ask us if there is a heaven and hell in this world, we would say that it is in Mersin. Heaven-Hell sinkholes, like many other sinkholes in the region, had a sacred meaning in ancient times. First, the ruins of an ancient city, then the Temple of Zeus and these two sinkholes and caves, which are considered sacred according to polytheistic belief, are reached. Local and foreign tourists as well as local people visit it with sacred feelings. Heaven's Pit is one of the two natural wonders consisting of large and deep pits known as the Korykos Cave in ancient times.
Heaven
450 steps in the cave will guide you. A small church was built at the entrance of the cave by Mr. Paulus. After the entrance, the ground is reached with 150 steps.
Hell
The well called Hell or Arasat is 75 m below the Paradise sinkhole. It is among the rocks towards the north. Since the side surfaces are concave, it is not easy to get to the bottom. The place where Typhon was temporarily imprisoned has a frightening appearance.
