Kilikya is located 45 km from the hotel. Olba ruins, built on a plateau, are reached at the 30th km of the asphalt road passing through the valley and forests extending from Silifke district to the Toros Mountains. Uzuncaburç settlement, which was the sacred area of the Olba Ura Kingdom in the Hellenistic Age, 4 km east of Uzuncaburç, was separated from Olba in 72, during the reign of Emperor Vespasian, and became a new autonomous site with the name "Diocaesarea" (God-Emperor city) that could mint money in its own name. .
The city of Olba is an important settlement 4 km east of Uzuncaburç, and the Temple of Zeus, where people worshiped, was located in Uzuncaburç. However, after the Romans dominated the region, towards the end of the 1st century, they gave special importance to the place where the Temple of Zeus was located, separated it from Olba and turned it into an independent site called Diocaesarea. All the architectural structures here, except the Temple of Zeus and the city bastion, belong to the Roman period. This place was also used as a settlement during the Byzantine period.
